2025 Season News

  • News

The snow has started flying and we’ve been hard at work setting up the next drifting season with ND Drift at Interstate Raceway.

2025 Schedule and Season Passes are Live

DTP Season Passes will be on sale from Monday December 9th, 2024 until January 31st, 2025. These include 5 events: Spring Matsuri, DTP 1-3, and Driftoberfest.

FD Pro-Am Season Passes will be on sale from February 1st until April 30th. This will secure a driver spot for all 4 rounds of Pro-Am.

Event Updates: Spring Matsuri and DTParty

Spring Matsuri is back but with some changes. It will now be an open track layout instead of a hotlap event. Drivers will have 1 minute to run any layout they would like on the track. Whether you want to do solo laps and try new things/get comfortable in the car or you and your friends want to do a tandem run on a favorite layout.

NEW: What is DTParty? This new event is an invitational event for advanced drivers only. No run groups. No competition. Different layout each day. Just 2 full days of track time. The drivers will get to design a layout and vote on what layout they want to drive for the weekend. Driver invitations will go out in 2025.

Rule Updates

FD PRO and PROSPEC drivers will be allowed to drive in Pro-AM, the $5K Shootout and DTP Open Series competitions.

• Pro-Am and $5K: No special limitations for PRO/PROSPEC drivers

• DTP Open Series limitations: PRO/PROSPEC drivers may not use a current FD competition car. The car cannot have a quick change differential or dog engagement (dogbox) transmission. V8 cars are allowed but must be N/A. Cars with a V8 engine or turbo/supercharged 6 cylinder must use a 245mm or narrower tire. No tire limits for NA/Nitrous 6 cylinder or any 4 cylinder vehicles.

Tech Inspection Updates

• Competition cars must be RWD and equipped with a manual transmission. This does not apply to any casual/fun driving at events like DTP etc.

• Reminder that we are now COOLANT-FREE. Cooling systems must have water only to pass tech inspection. Any driver that lies and leaks coolant on track is subject to a $200 clean up fee.

• Make sure your vehicle has a battery tie down. No loose batteries, no bungie cords/ratchet straps. Improper battery tie down was the top reason for failing tech inspection this year.
